Watch analysis of XAT exam by CL mentor Gautam Puri & Gautam Bawa

#XAT2019 was similar to last year’s paper.

Contrary to expectations there were no Numerical Answer Type (Non-MCQ) questions.

The difficulty level of the paper was similar to slightly difficult compared to the previous year.

We expect overall cut-off for XLRI BM to remain the same at 29,

QA and DI section was similar to 2018 expected cut-off at a score of 11.3.

VA and LR section was slightly difficult and expected cutoff is 7 a fall of 0.5 from the previous year,

DM was similar to last year and the expected cut-off is 8.5.

There was no major surprise in GK,

25 questions carried no negative mark and was of same difficulty level as last year.

Sir, what can be the expected cutoff for kj somaya and Tapmi ?

  2. ankur singh 2 years ago

In the DI set, Engineering percentage was 100%-(the other percentages) but the answer that came out by this was 30 which wasn't mentioned in the question I suppose, also can answer of actual(antonym) be relative as google search gives relative meaning as 'absolute' which is quite similar to actual.

I attempted 18 in verbal, with 85% accuracy, 14 in DM, with 80% accuracy and 10 in quant. Made 2-3 mistakes in quant and it went unsatisfactory overall. How much percentile can I expect? Replies will really be helpful.

if anyone does 40 question with 85% accuracy and remaining answers a guess for that person the chances of scoring more is higher and hence the percentile may go up???? I guess many have guessed answers to reduce the effect of 0.1 negative
