Bengaluru: Most students who have bagged the top 10 ranks in five streams in the Common Entrance Test (CET) have set their sights on Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Terming CET just a mock test, they said it helped them prepare for JEE Advanced, which is scheduled for May 27.
When the CET results were announced on Saturday, the ranks hardly mattered to the toppers, who made it clear their aim is to join national institutions. Some even want to join the medical stream — CET is the gateway for admissions to engineering, agricultural sciences, veterinary sciences, pharmacy and bachelor of naturopathy and yogic sciences — but appeared for the test just to gain the experience of writing a competitive exam.
