Sixteen-year-old Nikhil Nischal, son of a farmer and Siddhant Prasad, 17, son of a tailor from Jharkhand cracked the JEE Advanced 2018 on Sunday for admission to the premier Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Nikhil secured all India ranking (AIR) 2043 in the OBC category, while Siddhant bagged AIR 3037 in the same category.
The farmer’s son from Tupkadih village in Jharkhand’s Bokaro district, Nikhil said proper guidance of teachers, dedication to studies and time-management helped him to get this feat.
Nikhil scored 89.2% marks in aggregate in the Class-12 board exam conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) this year.
