BENGALURU: Senior IPS officer MN Reddi has moved the Karnataka high court seeking a direction to the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) to empanel him to be considered for the DG & IGP post.
Reddi, who has got a little over seven months service left, has challenged the selection of incumbent DG & IGP Neelamani N Raju made in 2017.
Reddi had earlier approached the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Bengaluru bench. The tribunal had only ordered notice and adjourned the hearing. He has now challenged the same contending that the tribunal has failed to consider his ‘prima facie’ case for being promoted to DG & IGP of the state.
