A free event is being held at Cornerstone Shelter on Sunday where local veterinarians have come out and will groom and care for pets of homeless people.

The Pet Fair People Care event is taking place today at 425 Leon Avenue from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“The focus is to promote good health for pets and their people,” said an organizer.

Everyone is welcome to the event and this is the second time it has been put on.

Cornerstone manager Andrea Sage said the event is an opportunity for people living on the streets to have their pets cared for.
