SC will now decide whether students above 25 years can be allowed to write the exam

Shantanu Bhat, a medical seat aspirant from Bengaluru, has got a second shot at trying to make his dream come true.

The Supreme Court has directed the National Testing agency (NTA) that conducts the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) examination to extend the deadline for accepting application forms by a week to enable age-barred students to take the entrance test. Bhat was one month over the 25-year m ark during the time of the test last year, and had to sit out one year waiting for a positive ruling on the age bar.
