NEW DELHI: Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad called for a centralised recruitment system for the members of the subordinate judiciary on the lines of the Union Public Service Commission holding examination for the recruitment of IAS and other central services officers where the adequate representation of the marginalised class is ensured through uniform application of reservation.

Prasad was addressing a gathering of the Supreme Court judges, other members of the higher judiciary and lawyers at Vigyan Bhawan here on Monday on the occasion of the Constitution Day celebrations.
