BENGALURU: Hundreds of law students who turned up at their colleges for the company law exam on Wednesday returned empty-handed after learning that it had been deferred to January 6.

Though Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) cited technical reasons for the postponement, sources in the varsity said it was due to a suspected question paper leak. According to senior KSLU officials, the incident took place in one of their affiliate-colleges where an official opened the sealed question paper bundle on December 24. This was later brought to the notice of KSLU, which rescheduled the exam on January 6.
