The High Court of Karnataka on Friday held that the evaluation of answer scripts of the main exam, conducted in 2012-13, to select candidates to the Group A and B posts of gazetted probationers by the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) from the 2011 batch was vitiated by “interference from interested persons”. The court declined to restore the results of the exam.

A Division Bench comprising Justice H.G. Ramesh and Justice P.S. Dinesh Kumar delivered the verdict while rejecting the interlocutory applications filed by some candidates seeking restoration of results of the main exam and permission for the process of a fresh interview of candidates based on those results.
