The Human Resource Development Ministry has maintained that the evaluation process of the JEE (Advanced) exam has been done on the lines of the Madras High Court order.

The court had put restrictions on evaluating answer sheet on the basis of the clarification issued post-exam. A petitioner had moved the court after the explanation, which stated that to numerical questions, answers without decimal points would also be deemed correct.

“The instructions were that up to two decimals it should be right. The petitioner said that if a student had written 7 instead of 7.00 then it should be considered incorrect. But, both are correct.
