Subia Parveen, daughter of a Jamia Millia Islamia’s (JMI)’s electrician Kalimuddin Ahmad, has been selected for a prestigious 10 month-US education programme on a scholarship.
A tenth-grade student of the JMI-affiliated Jamia Senior Secondary School, Subia has been selected for the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) scholarship, sponsored by the US Department of State.
She has been studying in the Jamia School from nursery class and is said to be a bright student. She has appeared in the Class 10 Board examination this year.
