Humane agents with Columbus Humane say as the sub-zero temperatures continue, dispatchers are receiving hundreds of calls from community members about animals left in the cold.

Columbus Humane Agent Kerry Minion said calls from people concerned about animals left outside without shelter continue as the temperatures fall.

“We received over 200 reports of animals being left outside in the last 24 hours,” Minion said. “It’s absolutely brutal outside and we are experiencing more brutal cold.”
