The William Hall Rodgers Basket Fund is underway in its quest to raise the funds needed to fill 900 food baskets for the needy.
For almost a hundred years, the Basket Fund has asked people in the community to donate funds to help make Christmas a little nicer for their less fortunate neighbors.
Some $525 has been donated this week.
Giving are Veterans of Foreign Wars, $50; N.C. and Betty Cartwright, $100; Dorcas Circle of Community Hall Church, $100; Robert and Joyce Dantzier, $100; Louse Mills, $25; in memory of three grandchildren in heaven (anonymous), $50; and Bill and Meg Campbell, $100.
