    Options :-

    1. Mother frog discards the thousands of eggs that it lays and leaves them floating on the water surface where most are eaten away by predators but some survive to become first tadpoles and then froglets.
    2. Out of the thousands of eggs that a female frog lays, only a few survive on yolk of the eggs they were born in, before growing big enough to eat algae initially, as even at this stage they don't have teeth to eat insects.
    3. A frog, born as a tiny sand-grain size egg, is all on its own from the time of its hatching, first eating yolk of the egg it was born in, then eating algae as fish-like, finger-sized, tail-bearing tadpole, before turning into an insect-eating adult.
