    Hello Amit. The study for CAT is not about mugging.Its about speed and accuracy. You have to develop your reasoning skills and your mathematical skills. You have to improve your skills in Quantitative analysis. Conversation skill and English and vocabulary are another important skill set in preparation of CAT.

    Following are the skills you require to clear CAT:

    For the exam:
    Logical Reasoning
    Verbal Ability
    Quantitative and Qualitative Ability

    For the GD:
    Leadership Skills
    Listening Skills
    Vocabulary and Oratory Skills

    For the PI:
    Communication Skills
    Time Management Skills (Answers to be precise so as to not waste time in beating around the bush)
    Technical Skills (i.e. in respect of what you have learnt through the exam)

    HI,

    There are a lot of variant types of skills required, starting from Quantitative to communication skills.

    Talking about the exam skills:
    Logical Reasoning
    Verbal Ability
    Quantitative and Qualitative Ability

    All the above can be brushed up by joining a coaching centre (TIME or Career Launcher) or buying study material (Arun Sharma books are a great hit!

    About GD and PI:-

    you could join some institute which offers good training for development of intrapersonal and interpersonal skills. Go for some debate competitions or extempore to enhance your confidence level and help you speak better.
