SBI is a hub for career growth. The training and exposure is limitless and you get to learn a lot
SBI basically has 4 categories of hiring

    1) PROBATIONARY Officers : This for graduates for junior level management trainees.however you can apply for this only after graduation.

2)Junior Associate : graduates are recruited in the clerical cadre

3 Lateral hires : Through this SBI hires lawyers, economists, engineers, rajya sabha members etc.

    4) Management traines : Management graduates hired on contractual basis for 5 years.

    Hello Vaibhav,

SBI is the largest public sector commercial bank in India which has many branches not only in India but also in other countries.
SBI conducts exams for the vacant posts in its branches for the different posts like a probationary officer, specialist officer, clerks etc.

Apart from the SBI, there are other options you can choose to get a job in banking sector.
IBPS is an agency which conducts exams to recruit candidates for various banks. you can apply for IBPS PO, IBPS SO, IBPS Clerk and RRB officer exam conducted by IBPS.

Many banking aspirants get confused with SBI PO vs IBPS PO which is better? Know the difference between SBI PO & IBPS PO job profile, role, work life, career growth, and perks.

Minimum qualification for the bank exam is graduation degree from the govt. recognized University in any stream.
Before applying for any banking exam you should ensure that you fulfill the eligibility criteria for the exam.

Many private banks also recruit candidates by conducting exams to fill the vacancy in its branches.

Hope it will get you some help.
    Thank you

There are two types of banks.

Nationalized Public sector bank and private banks.

SBI is the largest public sector bank in which you can be hired as a Probationary Officer or as a clerk.

A PO is supposed to be the head of the branch operations. Under him there are many clerks as executives. Depending upon the roster they are given the responsibilities of cash handling, ledge maintenance, stock updation etc. Sometimes the clerks are also given the task of account opening. To get selected you will have to clear the IBPS exam which is held from time to time once in a year.

Now if you are interested in private banks like ICICI, HDFC, Indus Ind etc then you should be having either MBA in Finance or other qualification needed by the recruitment system.

Other public sector banks are Dena Bank, Allahabad Bank, Uco Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Baroda etc. They are many more and the recruitment process is again the same which is clearing the IBPS.
