B.Com. is one of the most famous degree of graduation in India and comes with a wide variety of options for higher studies. The degree is the base of various fields such as Finance, Marketing, Management, Commerce, etc. In many cases the degree is considered enough to start working immediately. But in today’s competitive environment is it a good move? Should the students go for higher studies after or straight away jump into the job world? While a job can give you experience, higher studies may give you competitive advantage over your peers. Share your thoughts here.

As you mentioned yourself, the competitive spirit is ever increasing with limited jobs and a plethora of talent.
Hence, a simple B.Com Graduate can not rely on this degree and must either go for post graduation, professional degrees like that of CA, MBA, CFA, Actuarial Science, etc. or high work experience through internships. These are the viable options if you do not want to settle for mediocre, earn high and learn the maximum.
So I suggest that you continue with higher studies instead of looking for job right after graduation.
