    Which optional subject is best for UPSC?

    Hi Raj,

    There is no best optional for UPSC as such. It all depends on your tastes and preferences. However, before selecting any optional,do look for good coaching or study material related to it. Good Luck!

    Generally optional is chosen in the subject in which the student has pursued his graduation in. So if you have done graduation in say, Pol Science then choose it as your optional.

    However interest plays a role here. If you are not interested in it then you should take a subject that interests you.

    Also, if you know any Indian language then it is best that you take it as your optional. It becomes very very scoring if you take it up. 🙂
