    Hello Sumitra!

Here is a list of some of the highly paid engineering jobs in india:

    MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

The starting salary of a Mechanical Engineer ranges from INR 1.8 lakh to INR 5 lakh p.a. After experience the salary ranges between INR 40 lakhs to 45 lakhs p.a. The package also depends on the institute from where the candidate has completed his/her education.

    COMPUTER SCIENCE ENGINEERING

Generally, the starting salary of freshers with CSE degree is INR 2.8 lakhs to INR 5 lakhs p.a. However, the package goes upto 1 crore p.a. for jobs offered to IITians by giants like Facebook, Twitter and Google. The middle range MNCs like Mu-Sigma and Samsung offers upto INR 8 lakh p.a. to the graduates from government and good private engineering colleges.

    CIVIL ENGINEERING

The starting salary of a Civil Engineer is highest in education sector. Besides, in construction companies the salary range of a fresher is between INR 3 lakhs to INR 5 lakhs p.a. An IIT Civil Engineering graduate earns approximately INR 7 lakhs to INR 9 lakhs p.a.

    ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
The starting salary of Electrical Engineers range from INR 2 lakh to 4.5 lakh p.a. The salary package differs for graduates from IITs & NITs.

    OTHER BRANCHES OF ENGINEERING

Engineering branches like Chemical, Petrochemical, Aeronautical, and Automobile also offers well-paid jobs. One can go for any of these fields for a bright career.

Textile, Electronics & Instrumentation, Bio-medical and Mechatronics are some of the branches that limited applicability and hence, less jobs and low growth prospects. Reports say that majority of organizations that require these engineers do not conduct campus placements, thus, students from this field have to be dependent on government jobs or specific industry demand.

Hopefully this was of help to you. Personally, I would like to say that you should do what you love!
When one pursues what they truly love, monitory gains will follow!
