Yes, it is a good choice. But it solely depends upon your interest in computers. You should have a genuine interest in computers to make a good career out of it.
Because when you study it with Science, you also get to study Mathematics, which may or may not be the case with Computer Science in Commerce. Once you study Maths, you will have a broad horizon and a wider prospect to go for various options in your graduation.
It also depends on which side you are strong. In case your account and computer portion are strong then you can get a good job as an accountant in any big national or multinational company. If you’re strong in finance and have interpersonal skills than you can become a financial adviser of a company.
You can either go for an O level course or opt for programmes like CCNA with a degree in commerce. For instance, B.Com in Computer Science, Computer Applications, and other courses like BBA, BBM, B.Com Honors.
If you have Maths (either with Commerce or without it) you can also go for BCA. But if you go for Science, you can do a B.Sc in Computer Science or BCA. BCA compulsorily requires Mathematics. You can also go for B.E or B.Tech in Computer Science.
There are also many other different types of Bank exams, and SSC exams and SSB exams.
