I strongly feel that whatever stream you are pursuing will not pose an obstruction to your new choice rather you can also utilise your current degree and the one which you want to pursue and startup on your own. Psychology requires the basic human understanding, patience to handle people, understand their views and pain. There are various institutions available throughout India which helps you to pursue psychological knowledge as listed below:-

    1) Jesus and mary college-Mumbai,maharashtra

    2)St. Xavier college-Mumbai

    3)Christ university- Bangalore

    4) University of calcutta-Kolkata,west Bengal

    5)Ambedkar university-New Delhi

    6)Punjab university-Chandigarh

    7) Jamia milia islamia- New Delhi

    8) University of Hyderabad-Hyderabad
