    In a double slit experiment using light of wavelength 600 nm, the angular width of the fringe formed on a distant screen is 0.1°. Find the spacing between the two slits.

    The value of spacing between the slits is: 6um

    theta=lambda/d
    Theta=0.1 degree
    Lambda=600 nm
    d= 6um

    The answer would be:

    wavelength (λ) =600nm

    angular width (Θ)= 0.1°

    spacing between the two slits(d)

    Θ=λ/d

    so, d= 6um
