How should I begin my preparation for UPSC Exams. How much hours of study is good for cracking the Exam? Should I join coaching or should I buy notes from the market. I want to join IAS.  Please guide me.

First of all, congratulations on your decision for appearing UPSC exam. As you are first timer, lots of questions coming to your mind. Dont get panic. Your first task is to go through the UPSC Syllabus and check your comfort zone and entirely new area. Divide them in two parts and make a schedule which  includes mixed of both topics. When you start your daily preparation, take new topics and by the end of the day, when u feel to do some light readings, take topics which you have kept in your comfort zone list.
