Hello, I am a Mechanical Engineer in my  final year of study. I have a percentage of 89% so far. I have in the recent past been contemplating changing my field of study. So, is it possible for a Mechanical Engineer to be a Data Scientist?

    Hello there!

The answer is Yes. A Mechanical engineer can become  a data scientist. To become data scientist, your skill-set requires irrefutable logic, a good knowledge on databases, programming skills in R or Python and some relational algebra. All of these can be picked up easily if you aren’t already equipped with these skills.

    Good luck.
