Sir the chief election commissioner has rejected the idea of simultaneous election , but because of the infrastructure which is inadequate as of now. He is in fact in favour of it principally as he invited the political parties to discuss the issue and to brief them .
    Thank you sir

    #MyViews #ReservationInPromotions
In India, economic forwardness doesn't necccesarily guarantee social forwarndess. Govt. should establish a committee to re-evaluate the social condition of the backward groups. It should analysise the registered cases of caste defamation & exploitation at work-places, schools, universities, etc, to get a comparable idea about the concurrent social status of state-employed SCs. Regarding STs, workshops & broadcasts should be made available to inculcate more social inclusion of these tribes.

No doubt reservation can't be made for perpetuity, but certain socially backward groups in India have been facing the grudges of our society since as far as the Gupta period (2000+ years), isn't that seemingly a perpetual phenomena?

    Referring to Hrishikesh padhye's testimonial
I am agree with him . Gandhiji's philosophy is best but it needs all people of the world to be educated in right manner and graceful (just like pt education students). If allies had shown Gandhian approach to curb Hitler's atrocities then Germany would have killed all of them. In India Gandhiji's approach worked in movements for freedom because despite the british marauders deeds were ignoble, they were better than Nazi Germany of that time and many other factors like Britain's economy crippled post ww2 paved the way for our freedom.

Meanwhile, I really appreciate Gandhian approach in today's India where we are getting polarised which may end up, instilling gruesome riots and curbing democratic institutions, here Gandhiji's approach is the only medicine to get at internal conflicts.

One more thing Little boy, fat man type approach don't work always.Ex. Destruction of Ottoman empire gave birth to Al queda, our bad behavior gave birth to Marxism in Chattisgarh , Syria conflict, these all now have become a vicious cycle( here Gandhian approach needed from both sides otherwise fat man approach will also be applicable but fails on humanity scale and will be like killing hydra-headed monster).

Bull run refers to a period of time when prices rise on a financial market. … 'Bull market' and 'bull run' are most often used in reference to the stock market. However, the terms can be applied to anything that is traded, such as bonds, currencies, commodities.

A weaker rupee and higher oil prices will cause inflation to accelerate, which may prompt the Reserve Bank of India to hike interest rates earlier than expected. Higher domestic rates, coming before the economy has found a stable footing, could also derail India's recovery.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), or Shanghai Pact,is a Eurasian political, economic, and security alliance, the creation of which was announced on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai, China by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan; the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Charter, formally establishing the organisation, was signed in June 2002 and entered into force on 19 September 2003. The Heads of State Council (HSC) is the supreme decision-making body in the SCO, it meets once a year and adopts decisions and guidelines on all important matters of the organisation. Military exercises among members are also regularly conducted to promote coordination against terrorism, and to maintain regional peace and stability.] The original six nations, with the exception of Uzbekistan, were previously members of the Shanghai Five group, founded on 26 April 1996. India and Pakistan joined SCO as full members on 9 June 2017 at a summit in Astana, Kazakhstan. The SCO is often dubbed as the "alliance of Asia", due to its growing centrality in the Asian continent, and has been the primary security pillar of the region

Election Commission commences preparations for the Lok Sabha elections 14 months before the scheduled time frame of polling. "The Commission has a staff strength of just 400 but deploys 1.11 crore people on poll duty during elections."
While, the Lok Sabha elections are due in April-May next year, assembly polls to Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Rajasthan and Mizoram are scheduled to be held later this year.
The government contends that holding polls at the national and state levels will cut down on the cost of elections in terms of both time and money. A paper by the Law Commission recently recommended holding the Lok Sabha and assembly polls in two phases beginning 2019.

Touching upon an important issue, a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court has asked whether the backwardness of scheduled castes and scheduled tribes would persist forever, requiring the continuation of the reservation system for perpetuity. Though the bench was weighing the legality of introducing the creamy layer elimination concept to reservation in promotion, the larger issue of how long quotas should continue is even more pertinent. There’s no denying the fact that the reservation system today has widely deviated from its original purpose. Meant to be a tool to uplift the most marginalised sections of society, it has mutated into nothing more than a means to disburse political patronage.

As a result, the number of communities asking for reservation benefits continues to increase. This in turn has led to a bizarre situation where even well-off, influential communities like the Patidars in Gujarat, the Marathas in Maharashtra and the Jats in Haryana have demanded quotas in government jobs and higher education. This strange race to the bottom where political and economic clout is used to demand benefits meant for the most deprived has made a mockery of reservations. Against this backdrop, eliminating the creamy layer within the reserved categories is the minimum that needs to be done to restore the original logic for quotas.
The truth is if reservations truly worked to empower people, one wouldn’t need to continually expand quota benefits. Thus, having reservations for perpetuity confirms the system’s failure and exposes political parties for playing vote bank politics with quotas. Additionally, the policy has ended up dividing society. Instead of promoting equality, it has reinforced caste competition and prejudice. And for a developing country in transition, reservations become the object of ire for those communities that are unable to upgrade themselves for a modern economic environment. It is these communities that then demand their own quotas, which are seen to be a quick route to success.
But if reservations continue to expand and even cover promotions, meritocracy will be squeezed further. And merit can only be sacrificed so much to accommodate the goal of social justice. In fact, that balance has already broken down. The way forward ought to be to enact policies that lift all boats. Instead of slicing up the jobs and education pie thinner and thinner to accommodate more communities under reservations, government should look to enlarge the pie itself. That way opportunities will automatically be created for all communities, leading to social empowerment, inclusive growth and equality.
I understand that within a caste set up, upper caste or well-off communities will have the tendency to corner benefits. But the solution lies in expanding the benefits so much that there is plenty for everyone. We must get out of the shortage mentality and think big. I am not saying that reservation benefits should end immediately. But there definitely needs to be a deadline. Otherwise, instead of healing social divides quotas will create further disruptions in society
