Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has made a plea to Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi to set up the law university Nalsar in Amaravati. He promised to make the land and other facilities available for it.

He made the plea after the Chief Justice inaugurated the temporary high court building at the judicial complex and laid the foundation for a permanent building at Nelapadu village in Guntur district in the Amaravati capital region on Sunday.

The Chief Justice congratulated the judges of AP HC, the lawyers, the people and the Chief Minister of AP on the occasion. Expressing concern over the huge backlog of pending cases (3 crore) in various courts at different levels, he said steps had been initiated to fill up 5,000 vacancies…
