I took some user comments way to seriously and figured out what it would take to melt obsidian and sand cast it into a sword.

|| ABOUT ||
Today, getting what you need is as easy as a trip to the store. From food to clothing, energy, medicine, and so much more, Andy George will discover what it takes to make everything from scratch. His mission is to understand the complex processes of manufacturing that is often taken for granted and do it all himself. Each week he’s traveling the world to bypass the modern supply chain in order to harvest raw materials straight from the source. Along the way, he’s answering the questions you never thought to ask.

    would probably function better if you built a knife instead, not that big… OR go much beefier so you can chip it sharp… but that would be superhard…

  13. Eric Johnson 3 years ago

    Well I gotta hand it to you, looked like it took a lot of work and you never gave up. I even lmao when you made the Nether Portal at the end XD

  16. Get Dave Gingery's book on how to make a charcoal foundry, use Quickrete instead of expensive refractory material and a shop vac instead of a hair dryer, and you'll have a much better set up for melting metal.

    It's possible to cast obsidian in the game I made videos on.

  18. Robert Slaybaugh 3 years ago

    maybe you should try that last method again but from the first run mixed with the dye also you may have created your own form of glass which is pretty cool seeing as how most glass has been created we have it from tinted to tempered now volcanic ceremonial glass weaponry which is pretty cool by itself
